Inanda Newtown Comprehensive School Lab Revamp

The Foundation revamped two science labs at the Inanda Newtown Comprehensive School. Damaged desks, broken chairs and hollow flooring sadly described the run-down state of the science laboratories however; a complete refurbishment of the rooms gave the school a new ray of hope. The refurbishment included a fresh coat of paint, sanded down and varnished desks, smoothly cemented flooring, new desks and chairs. Educor also assisted with the removal of hazardous chemicals, where chemicals used in experiments could not be discarded safely, due to lack of funds at the school.

Nhlanhlayethu High School Book Donation

Nhlanhlayethu High School recently received a library revamp as part of the Foundations donation to the school. The revamp included the installation of a new ceiling and new shelves for the library to make it user-friendly for pupils. Several Educor employees dedicated a few hours of their time to go to the school to help sort, stack and categorise the books in the library.

Educor Holdings Joins South Africa in Spreading Goodwill on Mandela Day

In celebration of Nelson Mandela Day, Educor Holdings dedicated its 67 minutes to the CHOC Childhood Cancer Foundation KwaZulu-Natal at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli Hospital in Cator Manor. It was a morning filled with a spirit of goodwill and camaraderie. Staff showed their support by handing out grocery hampers to mothers and families in the community affected by children with cancer. They also decorated the children’s rooms with fun and educational imagery and got the humbling opportunity to go on a hospital tour and visit the children in their wards. Every year Educor Holdings pledges financial and in-kind support to a worthy charity and this year we are proud to have made a difference to the CHOC foundation. Regional Manager for CHOC KZN, Agie Govender said that it was an amazing initiative and expressed her gratitude to the Educor team.
